1. Who we are
goLive.menu ("we", "us", "our") operates the goLive.menu platform, a digital menu service for restaurant operators. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about you when you use our website (golive.menu) and our restaurant management platform.
If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
Account information: when you sign up or join our waitlist, we collect your email address and, where provided, your restaurant name.
Usage data: we collect anonymised information about how you interact with the platform — pages visited, features used, and browser/device type — to understand how the service is being used and where it can improve.
Menu and operational data: restaurant operators provide menu items, pricing, availability status, and return times. This content belongs to the operator and is processed only to power the service.
Communications: if you contact us by email or submit a form, we retain the content of that communication to respond to you.
3. How we use your data
To operate the service — authenticating accounts, displaying menus to diners, processing availability updates.
To send transactional emails — account confirmations, password resets, and service notices. We do not send marketing emails unless you have separately opted in.
To improve the product — analysing usage patterns to find bugs and prioritise features. This analysis uses aggregated, anonymised data wherever possible.
To comply with legal obligations — we may process or disclose data where required by law or a lawful government request.
4. Cookies & tracking
We use essential session cookies to keep you logged in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. No data is shared with ad networks.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling session cookies will prevent you from logging in.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with sub-processors that help us run the service:
Vercel Inc. — hosts our web application infrastructure. Data may be processed in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses.
Google LLC — we use Google Sheets to collect early-access waitlist and talent enquiry submissions. Submitted emails are stored in Google-hosted spreadsheets accessible only to goLive.menu staff.
Beyond these processors, we will not share your personal data with third parties unless compelled by law or with your explicit consent.
6. Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping purposes.
Waitlist and talent-enquiry email addresses are retained until the service launches publicly or until you request removal, whichever comes first.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to: access a copy of the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Children
The goLive.menu platform is intended for restaurant operators and business users. It is not directed at individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we hold data relating to a child, please contact us at [email protected].
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes — such as new data uses or new sub-processors — we will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
10. Contact
